Physical Description: Good condition, though original correspondence is fragile due to its age.
Scope and Contents: Correspondence, letterbooks, pamphlets describing individual schools in the Midwest and West, for the most part, but covering virtually all of the 49 states. Letters from missionaries located mainly in the Midwest and correspondence from the Society's secretary in New York and secretaries located in various regions. The letters reflect frontier conditions, internal ecclesiastical conditions, education in the various states, and economic, social, and political problems.
Comments: Transfer from Chicago Theological Seminary by vote of the United Church Board for Homeland Ministries, 7/21/1969
